Here are some tips and best practices for taking and uploading photos/scans of documents that will meet our image requirements especially for identification documents:
Your files must be in jpg, jpeg or png formats.
Avoid using your camera’s flashlights while taking pictures of your Identification (ID) documents to avoid unclear images.
Take the photo directly above the document on a flat surface.
Do not obstruct the ID with an object or your fingers.
Use a background of a contrasting colour to the document(s).
All 4 corners of the document(s) must visibly appear in the photo with allowable around the 4 corners of your document(s).
Take the photo horizontally for documents and vertically for selfies.
The image should not be blurred and all text on the document should be legible.
Document size should be no smaller than 0.5 MB and no larger than 5 MB.
Image quality settings should be set to the highest quality (Sharpness of at least 50 and DPI of at least 450).
